Astro Almanac Astrology Forecast For May 11-17: Getting Things Done

Welcome back to Astro Almanac! As promised, this week is going to be a little less challenging in general compared to previous weeks. Unfortunately, I am dealing with a yet to be diagnosed arm injury that makes typing a bit of a challenge, so this post is going to be short and sweet.

Last week's world events were certainly reflective of the Mars - Jupiter opposition that was discussed in last week's post. Whether it was the US President retweeting a suggestion that he gets two free extra years as President, or suddenly raising tariffs on Chinese goods, the feeling of invincibility must have been strong for those affected by the energies.

Meanwhile, as Venus squared Saturn and Pluto this past week, the New York Times reported on ten years' worth of POTUS' tax returns, showing losses of over $1 billion over that period.

Moving on quickly to this week, we start off with the Sun harmonizing with Saturn and Pluto on the 11th and 13th, respectively. For those of us affected, we can get a great deal of our responsibilities done. We'll simply have the strength and fortitude to move mountains if that's required of us. While these are serious aspects, they're also quite helpful. Just note that the Sun is also inconjunct Jupiter on the 13th (probably to be felt only 36 hours before and after the aspect), so we may have to be careful of overreaching a bit. So as long as you know and respect your limits, work to your heart's content.

The middle of the forecast period is marked by a sextile between Venus and Mars on the 14th, a marriage of love, desire and passion. Those affected (and attached) will find that relationships get a boost around this time, and everyone affected, regardless of attachment, will find it easier than usual to go for the things we want.

The following day, both Venus and Mars ingress into their next signs, Taurus and Cancer.

Venus rules Taurus, of course, so with this ingress we can look forward to better social graces, heightened awareness of beauty and the arts, and sensuality.

Mars in Cancer is a little trickier, as this will tend to make people act on their emotions a bit more than usual. Issues of home security may pop up around now, and we may see more talk in the news about protecting borders.

Finally, Mercury will be going over the same ground from the 16th to the 18th as the Sun did five days earlier, trining Saturn and Pluto while forming an inconjunct with Jupiter. This time, our communications are highlighted, meaning that those of us affected can really get more than usual done in this department. Whether it be important paperwork, intent to go for a promotion at work, or just everyday communications, things should go well here around the end of the forecast period.

Well, I'm going to have to leave it as that, as my wrist is now just a little to uncomfortable, and I must rest. Hopefully I'll be back next week to discuss the upcoming energies. Until then, have a great week filled with love and light.
